My ex was a teacher. Two of her three predecessors left with nervous breakdowns because of the constant abuse from the kids who she was unable to punish. My ex got racist abuse every day, and a colleague who defended herself against an attack with a pair of scissors was accused of assaulting the child who attacked her and thrown out of her job.Originally posted by Combat Ingrid

As I said in my post above, teachers used to be the ones allowed to act with impunity, but now we have the opposite problem. It seems that whoever holds the power will abuse it, and there is a pressing need for balance.Comment
