      If they make sense, it's all good.
      Makes a lot more sense than a zombie fight. Dip****.

        I got a wimpy paddling in elementary. I was the only one in my class. We had a very big scary blackguy principle. I had a bit of a giggle problem when in his office though...for putting milk cartons under the kindergarnter's bus's wheels.

          I don't know... I fail to see an issue in a couple of those, a couple totally misrepresent what would actually happen, and the others well... not really progress

            I took 10 licks in high school to not work out in off-season.
            Today, they use the time to go get a pedicure.

                          1973 - Everyone has good homely unpretentious names like Johnny, Jack, Mark, Jeffrey and Billy. The one female is called Mary and the one Mexican is called Pedro.

                          2006 - Everyone still has uniformly old-fashioned names. Not a Makynnzie in sight.

                          +++++++++++

                          1973 - A black kid arrives at school. Principal calls the police.

                          2006 - A black kid arrives at school. Conservative e-mail windbag struggles to think up a suitable name, eventually settles on 'ZJ'.

                            I can agree with some of the sentiments in the OP, though not all. It's hard to work with childrens sport or dance these days without risking being accused of being a child-abuser.

                            OTOH, it wasn't all so rosy in teh good old days. Apart from Sandman's amusing example, teachers could, in some schools, get away with beating innocent kids for no good reason. Now it's all gone the other way and teachers and parents have few disciplinary tools available to them.
