I'm thinking the Netherlands compromise is as close to even ground as you can get. You have a modest welfare state which provides tax subsidized healthcare to all, a modest social safety net, and an excellent education but the cost of this is kept tightly controlled. The result is economic growth remains strong, unemployment is low, but the people still have a safety net.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.Comment
