A new press release issues by NotifyWire.com claims that in some areas, PS3 supply is now equal to or slightly greater than demand. The press release also claims that we're at the point where people won't pay a premium for the console, or be foced into buying bundles. This would also explain why PS3s on eBay are selling for retail price, or sometimes, slightly less.

Yeah, and when your console hasn't even sold a million copies worldwide and your supply is meeting demand, something is ****ed up.
Dreamcast and Gamecube sold drastically better at similar points in time. And look how they ended up."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

So I went to the mall yesterday, I found a corner with lots of XBox 360 crap, swarming with 10 yr old hyperactive screamers and their fat parents. About 15 XBox 360's were there for test-playing.
Suddenly one of the Xbox's became available. I said "what the hell" and decided to see what the fuss is about.
Played some car racing game, sucked.
Played Tomb Raider, sucked.
Played some boxing game, sucked.
Played Call of Duty, sucked.
Ok, so I played 4 games, but honestly, if Microsoft want to show off their system, they would let people play whatever good games they have. If those games were the best they have, I am disappointed, and even more disappointed in the console fans out there, I had some respect for them in terms of gaming knowledge, but seems the 10yr old screaming hyperactive fool is still burning inside them to this day.be free

I absolutely wonder about people who think Fight Night 3 (ie "some boxing game") sucks. Or even Call of Duty 2. Maybe they just aren't meant to be gamers.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Wait, so it's a BAD thing that they're producing enough PS3's to meet the demand? I thought a few months ago you were claiming it was a bad thing they weren't producing enough PS3's ...<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
I like your SNOOPY POSTER! - While you Wait quote.

No, it's a bad thing that supply has met demand with only a few hundred PS3's sold. Generally the demand should be far higher than supply for longer.
That's different from complaints about the number of PS3s made available at launch (far less than the X360 or the Wii had available). As the few numbers indicates a rushing to market to try to somehow prevent finishing last in the new generation of console wars.
Basically, you have much smaller supply of PS3s in the first month of release, which are now apparently enough to meet demand. This does not bode well for Sony if true.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Asher, why do you discount the PS3's Blu Ray capabilities? Blu Ray players retail for $1000. Getting one for $500 along with a PS3 is a steal.

I hate Bluray because it's excessively costly, has way too much DRM, and is being force-fed to the public by Sony to try to force its adoption.
It's clear that market forces themselves are in favor of HD DVD, as they should be...
Sony's bluray "advantage" is nonexistant. For the same price people can get an HD DVD player on the 360.
HD DVD is selling more media, and has been since both launched. Studios are taking notice. It doesn't mean anything if sony can say "we have 1 million bluray players in people's homes" if they ain't buying the media.

I discount the Bluray feature because it's clearly matched in the HD DVD feature of the 360. So it's not worth discussion, except for perhaps it being the reason why the PS3 will fail to capture majority marketshare.
BTW" $500 for a bluray player is a "steal", yet $199 for an HD DVD player w/ universal remote + an HD DVD title is then what?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Plus, the PS3 is reportedly a poor Bluray player.
BTW, I hear you can easily plug the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player on a PC, given your PC has enough horsepower.Let us be lazy in everything, except in loving and drinking, except in being lazy – Lessing
