Yep. He served in Vietnam with the Army. To seriously believe that Kerry was saying dumb people were in the military, you'd have to really be streaching considering in such a case, he'd be slamming himself as well.

Kerry never said such a thing. If you bother to actually look at the context or read the speech which was written out weeks ahead of time it is clear Kerry mixed up a couple of words. There was a thread about this and the right wing claims were shown to be completely false.
