I am thinking 140, but it might be as high as 160.

I really thought that those higher masses required some uncomfortable contortions. I truly don't know what those might be, however.

I was really under the impression that it was a great surprise to not see Higgs at the tevatron.

Yeah, I think that 140-160 GeV are harder theories...

But I was under the impression from my Particle Physics Prof that the <140 GeV was really no hardship.

I just received this reply from my instructor:

"Your letter is totally not necessary. You got a B for the class as it turned out."

So I don't understand this... he makes it sound as if he didn't know what my grade was going to be and he had to figure it out. He told me that he was going to make the decision himself as to what to give me. He even flirted with the idea of giving me a D!

I feel relieved. But now I need to worry about getting the grade from this classed released to the other college.

Sheesh! What a pain in the ass.
