I have an excellent boulangerie 5 minutes from home. It makes a delicious baguette traditionnelle, for 0.95€ each. Really worth it. Except they're the main reason for my fat

No, they're forced to not buy machine-made baguettes.

Who the **** is the government to tell me that my bakery can't sell me my baguette made whatever ****ing way I please?

KH, just don't give them the pleasure of making you buy a hand-made loaf.

I'm sure the French will be very grateful at your noble protest.

We like the customers to be informed about the product they're about to buy. That's why we're stringent about normalization and certifications.

A Boulangerie is fundamentally a craftsman's shop. That's how it resonates to the ears of French people. As a result, the word Boulangerie already says what kind of bread you'll buy, what kind of method is used to make it.

If you want to make a shop with industrial bread, you can. You just won't be allowed to use a name that falsely implies crafctsmanship in the making (for example, we call those shops that solely sell industrial bread-products "dépôts de pain").

                              CHRIS ZELKOVICH

The volcano that is Don Cherry erupted again Saturday night.

Hockey Night In Canada's biggest star manages to keep himself under control for months at a time, but you know that under the surface there's a lot of pressure waiting to vent.

                              On Saturday, it blew.

As usual, the target was those who fail to share his citizenship: Europeans. ``Those French guys" he often thunders about will have to wait their turn.

Honestly, it wouldn't be surprising if Cherry admitted he checks under his bed for Euros and Quebecers before going to sleep.

The evening started out innocently enough during Coach's Corner when Cherry criticized the quality of the game in his own refreshingly honest way.

He followed that with one of his commendable crusades: Changing the rule that penalizes teams for shooting the puck into the stands. Like his campaigns against lethal equipment and the icing rule, this one was bang-on. Then he gave a teary tribute to a couple of young hockey players who had died recently, which was quite touching.

But when he reappeared after the Leafs-Wings game, you had to know trouble was brewing. Maybe doing a doubleheader was just too much for him.

``That's a disgrace to watch hockey like that," he spat. ``I mean, I lay the cards on the table."

And then he did in the ugly way that only he can. ``Three stars, three Europeans," he said. ``Why wouldn't it be?"

Ron MacLean, to his credit, tried to bail him out.

``Hold on," MacLean interrupted. ``Skill guys. You want to say skill guys as opposed to railing against Europeans."

MacLean then exposed the absurdity of the statement by pointing out Canadian Brendan Shanahan was leading the league in power-play goals. But Cherry resisted, at first, then relented, saying, ``Okay, skill guys."

MacLean, apologizing as is his wont, said he was only trying to help the guy in the red blazer. ``You're not helping me," Cherry replied. ``You don't want another bad write-up in the paper."

MacLean has taken some criticism, including from here, for his relentless tirades against NHL officiating. But his sins are minor compared with Cherry's decades-long attacks on Europeans and Quebecers.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

It appears as though you've managed to miss the point completely. Why do you feel like sticking your nose in others' business is somehow a positive thing?
