I don't see where Gore lies or whre there are claims that he is lying. How do you respond to this slander?“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”

Ned's quote made me aware of this - are you for real beliving in Gores nonscientifical propaganda film ?With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

I believe Gore claimed that there was no scientific debate, that the matter was settled. While the majority view may be in one direction, there are dissenters. That is the point the Senator was making.Originally posted by DaShi

But you called him a liar in your title and along with CBS News “60 Minutes” Scott Pelley, ABC News reporter Bill Blakemore, CNN’s Miles O’Brien, and former NBC Newsman Tom Brokaw in your initial post.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”

Listen, I don't know who is right on this issue. But we have NEVER had a serious public discussion of the issue. We need one.http://tools.wikimedia.de/~gmaxwell/jorbis/JOrbisPlayer.php?path=John+Williams+The+Imperial+M arch+from+The+Empire+Strikes+Back.ogg&wiki=en

Listen, I am not saying I am against global warming. I think it is the best supported scientific theory we currently have, as such I favor it.

But because of the subjects politicization, there are people who seem to take it as fact, rather then as a scientific theory (which has much less support then evolution, for example). Many of these people do not seem to assume that their position is correct, and are against further study (Which is needed).

Why? How is it different from the Al Gore film I didn't see? Does he have conclusive proof that Al Gore willfully spread information that he knew to be false?Originally posted by BlackCat

Yep, the head of the subcomittee which came up with this "report" is a well known oil industry hack who has been repeatedly made to look like a fool by the outlandish and scientificly illiterate statements which he kept making. His typical circus act is to traught out no bodies who end up getting slaughter in peer reviewed journals and pretending that some how his anti-science stance isn't anti-science. This is exactly the same BS which the creationists keep dragging out to pretend there is controversy about evolution when in reality there is absolutely no controversy about it in the scientific community. It is a settled issue.Originally posted by Jon Miller
It is the politicization of science that I find troubling. Sure, global warming is a decent theory. But proponents of the theory advocate it very fanatically, which limits discussion (Which still needs to take place).

Global warming is also a settled issue. Luckily, the loser in charge of this committee will no longer be in a position of authority next month so he will no longer be about to obstruct real science.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
