I think this is bad advice. If someone is a jerk, I'd really rather they don't be themselves. If they can be made a better person through a relationship with someone else (or of their own accord) I'm all for it.

I think my main problem was those long hours working... I'm broken, and I used this as an excuse to work looooooong hours, instead of the so called "intimacy"...

Well, it’s not true. But, because of what she said, I used to play my PBEM games (hey, just 3 games!) when she weren't at home, in order to avoid trouble...

Bad symptom. I should know, being married three times, when you start to do things like that…

Aro, commiserations on this, but I agree that in the long run it is probably better this way than a fourth failed marriage...

Btw, she's a good girl. Maybe too young, and she doesn't have children of her own...
It's very difficult to her to understand my problem with my kids, my worries about them or how unhappy I became when I can't give something they need 'cause I'm short of money, and so on...
You need to have children to understand, maybe. :
But this is a statement: she is not a *****; au contraire! She’s just a little… Well, I don’t know the correct expression in English, but she is a little… “over”, excessive (?) when she’s mad… She doesn’t have patience at all. But she has a great heart. And she is very sympathetic.

IMHO, her father gave her everything she wanted, any time she wanted. This is not a good way to raise a child. Of course, she doesn’t agree with me on this subject…
