That is a matter of opinion.
Iggy's former residence is a big negative in his leadership campaign.

Honestly, I don't know much about the candidates, but I am a Kennedy supporter at this point, though that might be largely due to the fact that he actually took time to come talk at McGill
Also, I would say that given what the Conservatives have done to me financially, it'd be a long, long time before I'd even consider voting for them.

Kennedy may be a strong candidate in the future, just not now.
He is bright and articulate but still quite green politically and has the insurmaountable language issue. IMHO you must speak french to be a successful PM.
Give him time to ripen and learn french and he will be good to go.

Is KH an American now? Shouldn't someone tell him?

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

It must be an OT thing to argue for the sake of arguing...
If KH had been out of the country since 1978(!!) and returned to run for national office, I suspect he too would have to face this issue.
Tell me DD, would a presidential aspirant that was out of the US for 27 years not have to face this issue?

I'm just having fun with your response to Cyclotron. I just found it amusing.

And as I pointed out, it is a huge negative for his campaign. Deny it if you want but it is fact.

I don't think I did. I just found the notion that he's from my country or even that a few years of residence an American makes amusing is all.
However there doesn't seem to be a similar residency requirement for PM as there is for the US President so I don't see how it could be much of a substantive issue since you failed to make it a requirement for the office. However I can see how it my be a perception issue nonetheless.

It's not just a perception issue. You didn't make it a requirement to not be a cannibal in order to become President. Does that mean that it's simply a perception issue if a Presidential candidate was a cannibal?
