Letting them know there's an american they can extort money from might just make things worse. Crispina's sister is working on the agency in Manila and going through the Philippine government too, if she listened to us. Since Crispina is a Philippine citizen they are the ones who might do something.
The sister, Lucina, didn't reply to our email offer of $300 in assistance so I haven't heard any progress report.Long time member @ Apolyton

Hey Lancer, sorry to hear about that.
Unfortunately, these incidents are so common that the Philippine government actually has a whole agency just to deal with OFW welfare and rights violations. They're probably your best bet. It's a division of the Dept. of Labor, but I can't remember what it's called (and I'm no longer in the Phils). Still, a call to the Philippine DoL should get you started.

Two more thoughts:
1) if you haven't yet, contact the Philippine embassy in Qatar. Government officials on the ground can do many things that more powerful officials, half a world away, cannot.
2) You might also get in touch with the International Organization for Migration, an NGO that deals with migration in all its forms, including migrant labor. They're active in the Phils -- I worked with them a couple of years ago on a major refugee case -- but you might want to start with their US offices.
I actually don't think it's worth the effort to contact the agency. Sadly, Philippine OFW agencies are essentially (and sometimes literally) pimps. You're not going to get very far with them.

Dolores spoke to Lucena last night and the situaion hasn't changed. Crispina is still locked up and getting one small meal a day. Dolores told her to check the emails so we can get the info we need to do what's been suggested in this thread. Basicly I need Crispinas new last name now that she's married, also who it is exactly that's holding her and where. We learned that there are either nine other girls also being held or nine total, don't know which. One of the business owners there is Egyptian but there is a Filipina also involved who slaps the girls around. Crispina told Lucina that she is 'getting weak'.
