    DVDs you have to have

    I'm dedicating this day to watch the LOTR trilogy, it's quite fun since I haven't seen these since I went to see them on movie theater. I've waited on purpose, so they'll be great. So far I've watched Fellowship of the Ring and it's awesome.

    What else do you have to have in DVD?

    I surprised myself by thinking some of the great comedies, and all I can remember from my early childhood is true classics... Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, The Marx Brothers.. and then this movie called Safety Last! .. that left an impression I'll never forget. I remember gasping for air when that guy was hanging on that clock tower.. such a performance! Or what about Charlie Chaplin in Modern Times? I literally thought that is what people do with machines!! Then again I was very young when I saw that..
    OH! And of course Laurel and Hardy

    So it seems I only remember black and white classics from early childhood, kind of weird. Then of course the Pink Panther by Peter Sellers, those were all great. And also Monty Python. These you must have.

    What else should one have?

    I gues Star Wars is pretty must, God Father is a must..

    Let's put categorize by genres if possible. Also some more modern comedies, Top Secret is a must have. It's just hilarious. I also like the Naked Gun series.

    I have to clear out why I took Naked Gun movies.. I think they are classic American comedies, the good ones. The absurd type, where you had word play mixed into weird objects etc. Just good old fun, it doesn't really work anymore but it did then and it still works for those few movies IMO. Those were the days when everyone loved America, and that was one reason why, it was hilarious and fun Maybe Iran didn't, but hey, they suck anyway.

          This is going to be controversial and I might be the only one to suggest it but I also must have all Klaus Kinski movies he did with Herzog. The maniac is so mad it's brilliant.

              A Bogart collection is a must. As is Dr. Strangelove.

                Well, Dr. Strangelove goes into Peter Sellers category, and at the same time it goes to Kubrick category so it's a must by default.

                And that said, Kubrick collection is a must:

                Dr. Strangelove (as suggested)
                Full Metal Jacket
                Clockwork Orange
                Shining

                rest are debatable... but these are essential when talking about Kubrick.. 2001 space odyssey is on the edge. 50/50.

                      Blade Runner is a good movie, but if we add Blade Runner, we need to add Metropolis from F. Lang. There is a direct relation between these two movie(visually speaking), also, I think Metropolis is more clever.
