My American Politics prof brought this up in class today. He was dismayed that such an old lady would get mugged in Argentina.

He thought we were pulling his leg when we insisted that the twin was named Barbara too.

I wonder if this will be like when Paris Hilton had her cell phone stolen. Sorry to make light of this, but it is so natural to do so, with someone who is so privileged.

She's got insurance on it, and Daddy's moneyed.

I fail to see how this is a real problem to either of them?

The online etymology dictionary (etymonline) is the internet's go-to source for quick and reliable accounts of the origin and history of English words, phrases, and idioms. It is professional enough to satisfy academic standards, but accessible enough to be used by anyone.

1603, from Fr. détail, from O.Fr. detail "small piece or quantity," from detaillier "cut in pieces," from de- "entirely" + taillier "to cut in pieces." Modern sense is from Fr. en détail "piece by piece, item by item" (as opposed to en gros), a commercial term used where we would today use retail. Military sense is 1708, from notion of "distribution in detail of the daily orders first given in general," including assignment of specific duties. The verb is from 1637.

Well, they're both potential targets for assassination, or kidnapping. If the SS dropped the ball on such matter...

At least I'm glad it wasn't First Lady #41. I like her better than her granddaughters. Plus I can tell her apart!
If it was her, the mugger wouldn't have gotten away with it. He would have been beat down... by Barbara.
