I think we should go by the deeper nature of people, in this case red devils.. their deeper nature is to kill people with hatchets etc. Thus red devil.

According to Mr. Swearington of Deadwood back in the old days people very much did distinguish between people descended from various northern European nationalities. Norwegians were referred to as "square-heads" for instance.

I have no problem with "native american", but "amerind" trips off the tongue easier.

Just curious, can we still call USians Americans? Or Canadians Canadians? I mean their ancestors weren't from (US of) America or Canada originally....

You should stick them somewhere else.

Speaking of going "WOO WOO WOO WOO", after the revelation of Michael Richards supposed racist tendencies, do you think it was difficult for him to act during that episode of Seinfeld where he had the Indian statue and he was in the cab yelling "WOO WOO WOO WOO"?

                  What's up with that?

from now on I'm going to go around calling myself an anglo-american. I'd like to see the funny looks I get from people.

actually my new way to describe myself needs to be more accurate. Native-german-english-french-american. It just rolls off the tongue.
