They aren't as accurate as the gym scales (the ones with the little sliding weights). Home scales are accurate to ~2 lbs.

      A) Again, the size of this population is irrelevant.

This statement in and of itself proves you're an idiot.

Because even if we can help these people while also helping the majority of the population at the exact same time, we shouldn't because that would be idiotic

I mean, if I can help an additional person at insignificant cost, why would I? That would make me a moron Clearly suffering will make them stronger.

If only we all stopped driving. We could save 50000 lives in North America alone!

Because clearly telling fat people to eat more and then telling them they need to be extremely small (women)/large (men) has far more significant benefits than it does harms I mean, what would happen if we told them to be healthy? Such absurdity!
It is exactly like driving, KH. Thank you for pointing out the similarity.

Yeah, but close enough to show a trend.

My BMI is right about 25.. and I know that I need to lose another ~15 lbs (or gain a lot of muscle while losing ~10 lbs).

My opinion on the weight results from a recent experience still running.
Two years ago I spent 15 days in artificial coma and regained my weight when I was 16 (decrease of 20 kg); almost all my fat and most of my muscles had disappeared and I was unable to walk without help. Then, I ate very little because I was not hungry, and I regained some muscle but my weight did not move up; after four weeks I was able to walk about ten meters without help, and after nine weeks 100 meters and to climb one staircase. This could be a demonstration of the major influence of the portion of food on the weight and the useful influence of exercise on the muscle.
At this point I returned to my home with a dietetical diet and a recommendation to exercise.
I followed strictly the diet and I limit exercise to climbing my stair 10 times a day. My index is now 25, smaller than before, and if I make some gastronomic excess (which happens!) a reasonable reduction of the portions take care easily of the resulting fat increase.
                  Statistical anomaly.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

                    National service

Couple years break for people early in their life to get kicked into shape.
Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.

Pretty much in the same boat as Aeson; I'm ~6'4'' and I vary in weight between 142-152 pounds. I exercise, not alot, but I spend atleast an hour a day walking, and every few days I do 1.5km on a rowing machine and some basic weights. I feel perfectly fine even though I'm almost unhealthily thin, probably because over the past few months I have...well, not gained weight but put on more muscle.

I ain't a fat bastard by any means, but I would do almost anything to put on around 30 pounds.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.
