    You're all worthless slackers - especially the lefties...

    I'm on the road, beating myself senseless crawling around an old dead powerplant for a client, to evaluate whether it's worth buying, relocating and rescuscitating.

    I look, and not one friggin' thread about how Bush finally goes to Vietnam, only 40 years late.

    Even Moby - who wasted three threads, couldn't come up with the obvious irony of our "Gee, I didn't dodge the draft, Daddy fixed it for me so I didn't have to" Pres going to Hanoi.

      But Slick didn't proclaim that he wasn't a draft dodger, but that he really served his country by missing time from an air guard unit and going TDY on one of daddy's buddy's campaigns.

      We all know that Slick was a draft dodger.

            Not unless he starts talking about peace with honor.

            My brother would have been 55 in a couple of weeks. Even Cheney has the balls to be direct about it, and Slick just kinda tried to avoid discussing it, unlike gutless asswpipes like Dubya and Quayle.

                  in case you haven't noticed, bashing oerdin for his "partisanship" or the way he posts threads with undesirable facts about republican corruption has become the new hip thing to do. if he would've posted a new thread, he would've been flamed to dead without intervention from staff.

                      He didn't dodge the draft. He served in the Guard. He volunteered to activate when they asked for pilots in VN but was not chosen. Later on, (war was almost over and forces were being drawn down) he blew off some drills (at a crappy classroom based unit). Big deal. I've done the same.

                        And certainly his job itself in the Guard had considerable danger. Lots of pilots die from accidents. More then from combat. I've lost more classmates to carrier landings then to firefights.

                            are you implying that if W had been in VN back then, hed have gone to Hanoi? Now theres an alt history.
