chili (working title):
1# ground beef
1# pound sweet onion
two 28 oz cans diced tomato
two 15.5 oz cans of kidney beans
1/4 cup minced garlic
2 tbsp each ground cumin and chili powder
1 tbsp each of pepper, salt
4 fresh, large jalapeños, 1/4 inch dice
750ml burgundy wine
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped.
directions: brown beef and drain. add onions, julienned, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. sauteé until onions are cooked. transfer to the crock pot and add beans, tomato, jalapeños, cilantro, and one third of the bottle of wine (drink the rest). set crock pot to high, and simmer for six hours.
