Supposedly, the male prostitute who is accussing this guy says they had a three year gay affair including lots of drug use. The male hooker is saying that after he heard the religious nutter make anti-gay & anti-gay marraige remarks on the air he decided to expose him.

Another recent member example was James Guckert, who among other antigay articles wrote ones in 2004 alleging that Kerry would be the US's first gay President.

In the cases of Fordham and Trandal, they are both Republican staffers who supported Republican representatives with rather actively antigay political agendas.

Meh, I just wish it was possible to conduct an actual statistical study settling this question instead of a few well-publicized outliers. I admit the assumption about any correlation makes intuitive sense, but it's still an assumption.

They actually conducted a study on this. People who expressed more negative opinions about gays were significantly more likely to get a hard on from watching gay porn..

It looks like the church oversight board didn't buy the Pastor's excuse that it was "just a massage" either.

Ted Haggard, the beleaguered pastor of a Colorado Springs evangelical church who had denied having sex with a male prostitute, has been fired by an oversight board, which found him guilty of "sexually immoral conduct."

The findings stand in stark contrast to the immensely popular public image of the New Life Church's founding pastor. A rising star, Haggard, 50, was at times a consultant to the White House, the author of several books, and until he stepped down this week, president of the National Association of Evangelicals, which represents more than 30 million worshippers.

The board that made the decision, called the "Overseer Board of New Life Church," said in a prepared statement Saturday afternoon: "Our investigation and Pastor Haggard's public statements have proven without a doubt that he has committed sexually immoral conduct."...

Mike Jones, 49, of Denver, had come forward Wednesday and said Haggard had had a paid sexual relationship with him monthly for three years. Jones also said Haggard used crystal meth.

The decision to fire Haggard came during a tumult of national media attention that ramped up significantly Friday morning when Haggard said from the driver's seat of his truck. With his wife and three of his five children seated with him, Haggard denied having sex with Jones, but admitted he once bought meth, decided not to use it, and threw it away.

I'm too lazy to look it up again, but I remember reading a skeptic's website article expressing doubt about this. It said that arousal in general is not necessarily caused by sexual desire, and might in this instance have only been a manifestation of the fight-or-flight reflex at work. I think the device used in such a test is called a "plesythmograph" or "plesthymograph" or "plethysmograph" or something like that. Okay, now I'm curious, I'll see if I can dig it back up from Wiki, lazy or not...
