No Web Browsing, News, or Weather for Wii Launch
Topic: Console Games
Wiifew Oh Nintendo, you are sneaky. Buried in the ninth and tenth paragraphs of an otherwise innocuous press release this morning was the easily-overlooked news that the Wii's vaunted Weather and News channels -- as well as the Web browser -- won't be available at launch.
Instead, the Weather and News services will launch on December 20 and January 27, respectively. In the meantime Wii owners will be able to look at the big Weather and News buttons on the main menu and imagine what it'll be like when they're functional."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

As soon as it's there, you'll be OMG LOOK HOW AWESOME MS IS.
You did the same re:MSN and ICQ, IIRC.
My complaint with ICQ was bloat, and MSN is in the same boat now. I use Google Talk."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Thanks for the review index. Sadly only 1 game reviewed I was interested in (Trauma Center: Second Opinion). Already seen the Twilight Princess review at Gamespy and I'm hoping for a Red Steel review soon.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Depends what your tastes are.
Off the top of my head, good games:
- Project Gotham Racing 3
My racing tastes run more towards Mario Kart...
- Call of Duty 2/3
Yet Another World War 2 Shooter.
- Oblivion
I'll grant you this was good, but not great. Though it came out on the PC at the same time.
- GRAW
I'd forgotten about that one, it did look cool.
- Geometry Wars
I'm not putting down a few hundred dollars to play an arcade/puzzle game (that's what it is, isn't it?). There are plenty of good and free ones on Yahoo! games if I feel the need to play any.
- Gears of War
As I said.
- Rainbow 6: Vegas
- Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Not my style, but I've heard they were pretty good. Ok.
