    • I should have picked none, I know. I can't stop myself from voting though.

      • Hmm. Bellichek knows how to attack the cover-2, and NE was really hitting on all cylinders against the (pathetic) Packers this week.

Lovie's crew has been up-and-down over the past month, and has very little big-game experience. Bears D needs to come up big.

I think the line's about right. Should be a good, close game.

Brady usually is consistent and very good in the clutch. But he has lost games with critical interceptions as well. I don't recall any game where he has looked as good as Grossman has in some of the Bear games this year, but certainly, he has never looked as bad as Grossman was in the Arizona and Miami games.
Peyton Manning has thrown interceptions at critical moments to lose games too... are you going compare him to Grossman?

Grossman has had the worst game I can ever remember a QB having this year, and has been horribly inconsistent. Brady had a bad game against Indianapolis, and looked a bit wayward to begin with adjusting to new receivers, but he's been top notch otherwise. Additionally he's proven to be a stud QB, which Grossman frankly isn't.

          • Brady has one game a year where he just implodes. I don't know why, he just does...and then he seems to get it out of his system and return to his old self for the rest of the year.

NE's major problems this year have been a) turnovers, and b) the offensive coordinator is very hit or miss. McDaniels isn't willing to play the people who are best in any given situation and instead sticks with a fairly rigid replacement system which led to things like Maroney being in on 3rd and shorts instead of Dillon just because it was his turn to be out there. That seemed to be better in the Green Bay game, have to see if it stays better this weekend.

If NE wasn't missing 3/4 of its starting secondary, I wouldn't be too worried about the Bears. The only good news there is that the replacements are faster than the starters, which should be helpful. If McDaniels doesn't screw up the game plan again then I don't see the Bears D stopping NE, particularly on their shiny new FieldTurf...but that's proven to be a pretty big if this season.

            • I grant you that Brady is better than Grossman. But that is mainly due to his clutch performances over the years.

That's the crack talking. Brady is better than Grossman, nevermind his clutch performances.

              • Even as a koolaid passing bears fan, I laugh at rating Grossman anywhere near Brady. Ask again in 5 years.
I'm just hoping the "not awful" Grossman shows up Sunday.

What has NE done THIS year to merit being considered as good a a team with two fewer losses? Conversely, what have the Bears done to deserve this disdain, considering they just beat the Jets at their home after the Jets beat New England at their home?

So if Harrington comes back to town tomorrow and shows up his old team, does this impact Millen's tenure at all? I'm guessing not, considering everything else that has transpired under Millen's "stewardship". Absolutely amazing how this guy keeps his job!
