This week will be a huge test. But after the New England game, the schedule looks pretty sweet.

The opening line is New England favored by 3-3.5. That means LV thinks New England is just as good as the Bears. This is strange, in the least, as New England recently experienced two losses in a row and have 3 total.

What has NE done THIS year to merit being considered as good a a team with two fewer losses? Conversely, what have the Bears done to deserve this disdain, considering they just beat the Jets at their home after the Jets beat New England at their home?

Chicago lost to Miami while the Patriots defeated them cancels out the Jets gambit.

The Bears have an easier schedule and play in a stronger conference.

RB. Close, but I'd say NE is consistently better.
WR. Again, advantage NE. A lot going back to QB again.

As you point out, they have the best defense in football to go with the second best offense. And still, the Bears are not deemed as good as New England?

Also, give me a break on the wide receivers. The Bears crew is one of the best in football. How else can the team score all those points?

I grant you that Brady is better than Grossman. But that is mainly due to his clutch performances over the years. Grossman has still to prove himself here.

True. But it represents the "conventional" wisdom of the people. If two teams are considered equal by the public, the line will be -3 for the home team. That means the public considers the Bears and New England to be equal teams.

We shall see. At times, Grossman has looked great. But, at others, not so great.

Brady usually is consistent and very good in the clutch. But he has lost games with critical interceptions as well. I don't recall any game where he has looked as good as Grossman has in some of the Bear games this year, but certainly, he has never looked as bad as Grossman was in the Arizona and Miami games.
