I'm not sure why having CTRL-1 and CTRL-2 do act as forward/backward scrolling is intuitive.

    What does CTRL-3 do?

Is there no way to directly access tabs with the keyboard?

It's not Ctrl-1 and Ctrl-2 (which open Search and Bookmarks respectively), it's just the numbers 1 and 2. I don't think it's all that intuitive unless you read a shortcuts list and then get used to it. I don't see how Ctrl-1 and Ctrl-2 are all that intuitive either, and I think the number of people who said "Oh, neat!" in this thread proves that.

I've been using FF 2 since Beta2 and it's a good solid improvement. However, for some reason, the spellcheck doesn't work . I'm running Vista RC1. Any ideas?

Didn't you disable it with some about:config tweak I told you about?

Spellcheck is working great for me. It's a great feature. You can actually get this functionality for Opera, but I never bothered to, partly because I assumed it would be pretty clunky.

Along with the extension that Asher provided, I might have a new browser. =)

I love FF. The only issue I have with it is that retarded use of ctrl+tab compared to Opera(yeah, I'm looking at you Asher ).

I bet I will. Actually, I think I just heard some choppers and something that sounded very much like approaching ninjas.

Unless you're kidding, I agree! Asher's linked extension fixed it though, if you didn't catch that.

FF has been loading these forums so quickly that I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to Opera. Does FF cache some underlying display information for the domain or something? I've never seen this kind of speed on Apolyton forums.

It's ok, I just downloaded the British English dictionary; it's working perfectly now .

                      Asher, FF2 or IE7?

                        FF2.

In a few weeks I'll transition to the FF3 nightlies again, to test/file bugs/yell at new features.

FF3 will have a pretty fundamentally new rendering engine, so it'll be tricky to debug. The graphics/imaging engine is also going to be fully hardware accelerated on Windows, OS X, and Linux, as well.

So will it require a DX9-level video card or what then ?

the ctrl+tab/ctrl+shift+tab functionality makes sense, but I prefer ctrl+pgup/down - threefinger shortcuts isn't good if it's avoidable.

It's certainly better than 2 hands...

Depends on what you are doing with the other hand

Seriously, most shortcuts are activated with two hands - there are only one Alt key, and that makes it quite difficult to do it with one hand.
