Simple fun
Excellent controls
Polish overall
Nice colourful graphics
A plot better than expected
Pleasant characters
The right pace.
Overall, this game has no flaw that I can think of, and everything it has, is an asset. While FF3 has a great plot and fantastic characters, I find that the random battles and the fact that you can only go EWNS are small liabilities, but liabilities nonetheless.
As a result, Chrono Trigger is slightly better than FF3. But had FF3 the qualities of Chrono Trigger, it would have been teh ultimate experience in RPGaming

You could actually play Seiken Densetsu 3 with a friend, him controlling one of the other two characters. That alone made it very w00tly.
FFVI Has a great plot, and lots and lots of stuff to find/ unlock / try / whatever,which does add a lot to it,
But CT has many endings, as well as TIME TRAVEL,as well as all the stuff spiffor mentioned. They are both very good games, but I do think CT has the edge...Indifference is BlissComment

Also, FF6 > Chrono Trigger > FF4. I already have FF4 Advance, I'm going to get FF5 FF6 on the Advance (i.e. DS) too. If only they made a DS/GBA port of Chrono Trigger...Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!Comment

I've never played Final Fantasy and don't have a console. I know it's a RPG, a genre I mostly play for their story. Does any of them have a strong plot or are they all endless, boring fighting against marginally better and better enemies as the game progresses?
Oh, and Firefox is shortened to FFox, not FF.Comment
