Drat. On the way home from swimming some idiot had the kindness to drive quickly into the back of my car pushing it into and compressing it against the car in front, thus removing about a foot from the length of my car...I suspect the car has crumpled underneath with the nature of the compression so it looks like my car is a write-off.

And to add to this my back is hurting and my neck, shoulders and arms are really aching...I've been to A+E and I've got some painkillers. Well at least I have the money to look forward to!

and on recommending a car, it quite depends on your budget, habits and desires. While a Porsche 911 sounds good a more practical and cheaper option might be something like a Honda Civic. We have a 1999 model and its been a great reliable car, easy on gas etc etc

Yeah, I would probably go for something Japanese...my last car was a Nissan and I never had one problem...

Reread the prior post, I don't think the Hummer he is recommending is an auto of any sort but this may be regional slang that you wouldn't necessarily pick up on

I've had real good luck with my Tacoma pickup. I know you probably don't want a pickup, but Toyotas are good, as are Hondas. Honda has some sexy looking S2000 or something. I forget the number.

There are many many times when I do wish I had a pickup truck. There is just so much crap where you can avoid the delivery charges. Although since we got a van, that can usually carry most things
