    Fatwas are never universally respected. Precisely because any priest can issue one.

    If anything, this statement (I'm not even sure it's a fatwa, I don't remember having read the word in the BBC article) will measure the political impact these leaders have on the population.

      Fatwas are stupid. I demand a fatwa on fatwas.

        Yep, it is stupid to censor a common and nonoffensive English phrase like "*** for tat". But Markos likes to censor things like that. I shudder to think what would happen if we were allowed to write about Tits or chickadees (two different names for the same bird which is common throughout North America). Why if someone were to talk about the tufted titmouse they might get banned.

          Can we say 'S****horpe'?

          {EDIT: yes, it seems we can, but only if we don't tag the four letters, so S****horpe won't make it}

            "S****horpe is the administrative centre of the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. It is popularly known as Scunny. Its current population is 62,000.It is also known as the 'Industrial Garden Town'. "

            Now, politics is dirty but I'm not seeing the connection.

              There has already been another major bombing of civilians today. It was a very short truce.

                This will be so cool if it works.

                  Well, in theory the two or so Christians left in Iraq could be stepping up their Muslim-killing during said "truce."

                  Would anyone like to discuss Titus's titanically titillating titration of titanium near Titicaca?
