For the life of me, I can't understand why pople, especially the rather intellegent group in this forum, villify women who share something that gives people joy, distracting us from those who reek distruction, so I'm aking this in way that hopefully anyone can understand.

Easy women are much more fun, than pros, true. I've befriended several prostitutes, one of them was into fancy stuff (actually she was the sweetest), the rest caught in a life of heroin abuse, not realising that things could be better, and I've really grown to like some of them. In that town, if you're down and out, the cops are so abusive that it's hard to pick yourself up. It's so bad that in that small town of 40,000, even before the ACLU set up shop, there was about 1 lawsuit against the city every week.

While I feel for whores/prostitutes.. there is no question that that is not a good life, that it stems from abuse and suffering, and leads to abuse and suffering.

Yes, there are exceptions, but I am talking in general here.

I was also serious that it should be state run, to protect all involved.

State run is maybe a step too long - maybe some kind of license and a checking - something like a license for pharmacists.

Still, it doesn't change the problems the addict prostitutes face. They probably won't be able to get a license and there will always be a big market for cheap sex.
