I fainted once, as a boy, maybe 6 or 7 years old. It was very brief, just for a few seconds. I had some blood samples taken at a clinic, and the combination of the (slight) blood loss and the unfamiliar, powerful smell of "hospital" made me queasy. My mom thought I'd managed it so well that she would buy me a comic book as a reward, and we went to the kiosk to get it. I waited outside in the fresh air, but when my mom came out, after less than a minute, I had fallen over and passed out. I was instantly conscious again, but rather groggy for some time on our way home. I must say that the comic book helped a lot in overcoming the embarrassment. You just can't beat Disney when it comes to that.
