Tales of Symphonia is eating my life

How does this compare to Phantasia? Anybody know? Obviously it's going to be a lot better in terms of graphics, but are the battles as insanely fun?

oh, might I add, this game is best enjoyed in groups... remember... you're not addicted to gaming until you game alone.

Multiplayer is especially fun. In single player it's okay. Once you've powerleveled once or twice and figured out how to deal with bosses it gets pretty easy.

I started playing this after I saw another group in my dorm doing it. They were full up, though all the characters had been taken.

My roomate's usually the caster and I'm the tank.

God, I'm on the second "grand quest" and it's still the first disc. How the hell do they have twice as much plot as I've aleady seen?
