How? I made no conclusion about your opinions. Your own post said it was about you. My prior point remains valid. It's not my fault that you don't understand it. If you haven't noticed, I really haven't been directing any toward you because I see no value in your opinions. The above remark only further contributes to that feeling, since it makes no sense in context.

You asked why it was a big deal that a Muslim girl did well, and, not understanding the context, concluded that it was a case of "Ooh, look what the monkey can do" syndrome.

I was speaking directly to aneeshm. I was saying solely that his actions seemed to indicate that syndrome and quoted an offending line directly. For some bizarre reason, you thought that it was about you. That's something you'll have to deal with yourself, I'm afraid.

Actually , LordShiva knew it was directed at me , yet he realised that what was directed at me was flawed , and pointed out that flaw .

LordShiva is right in both aspects : Sanskrit is studied less in South India ( except by the religious establishment , where it thrives even today ) , and even less by Muslims , and even less than less by Muslim girls . All these things are what make this case totally unique , not the "Look what the monkey can do !" syndrome , as you seem to suggest .

I didn't think it was directed me at all. I offered an alternate explanation for why one might find the topic interesting. Since you aren't Indian, I assumed that the information I provided would not be known by you.

But his opinion is irrelevant here .Whether he agrees or not shows no flaw in my argument about your opinion .I think that it is just fine that he is interested for the reason he stated .I am asking why you are SO interested .The statement by you that I quoted leans toward my initial assumptions .What LS feels about the article has no bearing on my statement .How you both fail to see this demonstrates a servere lack of normal reasoning skills .Perhaps there are simply some personal issues that are getting in the way ,I can only speculate on that .

I'm only suggesting that you are giving off that impression ,not that it is the case .

Yes, you offered your reasons why you find it interesting. Then you went to say that my reasoning was flawed, which makes no sense. No matter what you think, it doesn't change what aneeshm thinks. In order to show that my reasoning is flawed here, you need to cited evidence from this thread posted prior to my initial post on this topic that directly contradicts my assumption. That evidence would have to have been posted by aneeshm himself. You're opinions on the article are irrelevent to my statement about aneeshm's motives.

Now please answer why I feel like I am teaching basic persuasive writing?

I was not attempting to show flaws in your argument, nor to argue with your impressions. I was offering some additional perspective that might or might not influence your impressions. "I was pointing out how your ignorance of the context led you to an erroneous conclusion."

That is what you said originally that you were doing. Now you are saying this: "I was offering some additional perspective that might or might not influence your impressions."

Again your claims in no way show that my point is erroneous.

To refresh your memory. This is what you read:

"You asked why it was a big deal that a Muslim girl did well, and, not understanding the context, concluded that it was a case of "Ooh, look what the monkey can do" syndrome."

                    This was what was written:

"Then why is it such a big deal that a Muslim girl did so well ?Remember ,I'm not saying that it is disturbing that you are praising this ,I'm pointing out the degree of praise being given for it .Since she is Indian as well ,it either comes across as overcompensation or "Oooh ,look what the monkey can do ." This line seems to indicate that it's both :"If the Muslims do it , even better , because maybe it'll exert a moderating influence on them and their religion .""

                    What that means:

I asked why aneeshm found it to be such a big deal that this girl had learned sanskrit so well. This praise for a Muslim counteracts, or attempts to, a lot of his prior threads about them. He writes it in such a way that indicates an air of superiority over Muslims, hence the quoted line by him that seems to show this. If I am mistaken, he should point out how he really feels clearly. What you feel about this article is irrelevant. Hence my response to it. Everything else you've written has been a scrambling attempt to save face, such as your new line of reasoning for your actions.

I always topped chemistry examinations. That piece of information is just as exciting...
