In late april, 2006, this spread around the internet:
It is basically an anime of a girl spinning a leek, while singing an incomprehensible song. People around the internet however, began to research where the song had it's origins, and on July 10th, 2006, Timo Väänänen from the Finnish band Loituma had this to say in a local newspaper:

But the story doesn't stop here. In late august of 2006, a german group of computer video graphics performers, released the song in a digitalized version with catchy graphics. The world is weird, isn't it....to think it all started with an anime of a girl spinning a leek

I first found out there was something going on when I looked at the statistics of my own web page and then I realized that something weird is happening because there is so huge traffic there. And most of the traffic came from Russia and then I started to track down what is happening and then I found this video. And well, I have no idea what this video is about, and what this girl is about.
