      They're hard to do right (with a barbell) and not so useful if done wrong. I've done em with up to 315 lbs on a barbell (not strict but the dynaic motion was good training for the start of my deadlift) but nowadays I stick with T-bar rows instead.
      Easier with a dumbbell. Just be sure not to twist your back and to bring the elbow above the level of the shoulder.

              • Sugar immediately after a workout isn't necessarily bad. Gives a much-needed quick shot of carbs.

                      The whey protein drink mix I have, that is complete with amino acids, has a WHOPPING one gram of sugar per serving.

                          • How does swimming and jogging effect muscle recovery? For example if you lifted arms, chest, and back on Monday, could you swim on Tuesday or not? If you lifted legs on Tuesday should you hold off jogging on Wednesday?
