If I had the money to buy good meat all the time, I'd go that route for protein, but as it is I drink a protein shake we sell at both gyms I work at (I get a 30% discount at one of them, guess which I buy from...
) that has 32-34g of protein depending on the flavor (The chocolate one has 2g extra protein? Huh?). 2 or three of those on a day I workout and at least two good meals puts me near the "1.5g protein x Your body weight" figure suggested to gain muscle mass (1.5 x 125lbs when I started = 188g). I've gained about 10lbs of muscle since May, but I'm not a gym nut, I just put in an hour or so after I've gone off-shift and we've closed for the night. I workout up to 4 times a week if I'm being really good, twice if I'm being lazy and none if I don't care.
