If all you've got are allusions to a presidential race in the US, I would say that there is an arrogant jackass in this thread, but it isn't VG.
I am fully aware that the party gets a bonus when receiving a vote in federal elections (that's the way it also goes in Finland, FYI). This bonus is completely marginal when you start considering the total amount of cash spent in advertising campaigns. I brought Nader up because your argument of voting for a candidate so that he would receive federal campaign funds is exactly the same argument what "every vote counts!" jackass vote splitters were bringing up when voting for him.

Summa summarum: Yeah, well **** you too, arrogant, clueless ****head. Canadians

They aren't, but as a socialist I felt much more comfortable voting for them than for anybody else.

Actually, you're the clueless ****head. There are places in Canada where the seat flips between Lib, Con and NDP. There are other places where it flips between Lib, Con and BQ.

It's not a two-party system if it produces more than two electorally important parties.

            Idiot.

Hey, another one who didn't bother to click the link provided in my first post where I defined the phrase "two-party system" to mean first past post -system. But there's an ego trip to be had!

Seriously guys, **** you. Apolyton is worthless these days.

I saw where the link directed to, smartass.

                I'm disagreeing with your "definition".

                Duh, you braindead maroon.

Is there any site that summarizes each party's views on stuff? I tried going to the individual party websites, but that makes it a bit hard to compare positions as they have different formats, and sometimes seem to be silent on some issues on their sites.

Also, I have to read several hundred more pages of The Wealth of Nations like... right now (grr... stop telling me what the price of corn was in 1650, I don't care!)

This one's pretty good for a political junkie. A lot of their material is available for free a certain time after publication.

I voted NDP last time out, Lib before that. I'm not a fan of the bungled job being done in Afghanistan (that's less a comment on the Canadian Forces than the overall strategy), but I don't advocate an immediate pullout, either. That would just make things even worse, and I don't see it as the only viable option yet.

So I guess I'll be watching the Libs to see who comes out on top. I'm suspicious of Ingatieff, though, and I'm unconvinced that Bob Rae can garner national support. I'm kinda hoping for Dion, although who knows if he can clean up his image among Quebecers?

Who pissed in your cornflakes, VJ? You used a term incorrectly, it was pointed out - without any hostilty I might add - and instead of saying oops, you attacked other posters, with escalating venom. You were wrong. Admit it and apologize for your insulting behavior.
