Calgary, a defense-first team, and Sutter, a defense-first coach who has followed Dion closely since he was 14, wouldn't want to pay big bucks for a popular, local, stellar, home-grown defenseman?

Dion is here to stay, he'll be the "face" of the Flames when Iginla fades out.
