There are many more possibilities of how to charge the adult participant, compared with the teen participants. There may be (each state varies) longer time to hold the adult under various theories before you have to charge him or let him go.

Adult male pervs committing sex crimes isn't quite as novel as a teen female organizing a blowjob smorgasbord with a preteen female as the server. Nothing to do with ageism, one trick pony, it has to do with the level of participation and which crimes are participated in. The teen girl orchestrated the crime, the adult was one participant.

These teens went out and chose a kid infected wtih HIV as their merchandise? Jeez, with intellectual prowess on such a scale it's just as well that the government is going to take care of them. Maybe the arrangement should be permanent.

If the child has congenital HIV it's likely that Mom has already gone on to the big sleep. The fact that the kid is still alive though is a testament to the eficacy of modern chemotherapy. If only as much time and money had gone in to her safekeeping.
