    Cheater!!!!!!!!

    But yes.

Guess I'll have to rename the pic next time?
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Okay then. Who's the woman in the picture, and why is she being led into court?

Damn - she looks like the NZ PM - Helen Clark - I wish someone would lock her up!

It's Valerie Solanas, author of 'The SCUM Manifesto' and she's been arrested for shooting Andy Warhol.

            A sample of her 'thought':

Although completely physical, the male is unfit even for stud service. Even assuming mechanical proficiency, which few men have, he is, first of all, incapable of zestfully, lustfully, tearing off a piece, but is instead eaten up with guilt, shame, fear and insecurity, feelings rooted in male nature, which the most enlightened training can only minimize; second, the physical feeling he attains is next to nothing; and third, he is not empathizing with his partner, but is obsessed with how he's doing, turning in an A performance, doing a good plumbing job. To call a man an animal is to flatter him; he's a machine, a walking dildo. It's often said that men use women. Use them for what? Surely not pleasure.

Well, she was nuts but you've got to admire her twisted sense of humour.

Next time I get one of these again I'll try to do something else from the history of art or the history of ideas, or both like in this case.

                Okeechokee.

What is this, and what or whose journey does it commemorate ?

Looks like it could be an Eleanor Cross to me.

Thus it would commemorate the journey of Queen Eleanor's body from Lincolnshire to Westminster Abbey. Each place the procession rested for the night, Edward I had a cross built. Seven were built in total, the most famous being at 'Chere Reine' Cross in London on The Strand....

A beautiful tale of love, and proving that even the dreaded Edward Longshanks himself had a romantic side...

Indeed, it is an Eleanor Cross.

                    The one at Geddington perhaps...?

What precisely does this famous painting portray, with an extra brownie point for the artist?

It is MLK, but be a bit more specific about the place - its pretty famous. Naming the bearded guy wont be needed to win, but no, its not Col Sanders. (Hint - he would never have eaten at KFC)
