I remember a guy named Colon too, but his name wasn't trademarked.

There was a guy named Stefu as well. To his credit, his birthday threads were four years apart. I won't say anything bad about the Finns, because I know most of them carry knives.

Then there was that suspicious Gregor fellow. Now that was just weird. Relatively speaking, this was not too long after Apolyton being founded in the first place...

Oh, thin Ice here, I have heard about it, must have missed it.

Now, is it against the rules to "ask" what was it?

      People were bashing Mongolia?

I gotta tell ya, when I think of Mongolia, and not an expert, but as for word association, I would think of people living on steps, (not doorsteps but the terrain)

I say thin ice because sometimes people have said a closed thread or removed one is taboo to speak of, which it had to be deleted for a reason.

It's so cool that somebody remembers the Mongolia Bashing threads from what, (edit: now, I would wager 1999-2000)?

I remember posting squid recipes to mock Giant Squid.

It was a real playground by then, the general age and the general English fluentness being significantly lower than today. Very cool.

Yeah, I asked a Mao question at the Apolyton Convention, and no one knew it.

esoteric knowledge of the coffee shop makes you a huge dork though
