I used this glue strip mouse trap. The mouse gets stuck to the glue strip. I kind of forgot about it for a few months. Go to check it, and there's a dead mouse there crawling with maggots.
How did the maggots get there if there are no flies in my house? And I don't recall seeing any flies in my house in years.
This reminds me of an experiment done in the very early days of the Renaissance.
A scientist combined rotten meat and flour overnight in his sealed basement. When he opened up the basement the next morning, there were rats running around. He then published a paper on how to create rats using rotten meat and flour.
