His approval ratings are about average for most presidents at his point in their term. Need to check your facts and read something other than Wikipedia.

BTW, Apolyton is a liberal hellhouse, when were there ever Bush supporters here?
The point I was trying to make was that only a few years ago, he was worshipped, and now his approval ratings are much lower (whether or not that normally happens for presidents in their second term isn't the point), so I was asking what it was like around Apolyton. When I was there last, there were plenty of Bush supporters. Yes, most were against him probably, but I remember there were a lot of them. Second, I wouldn't describe it as a 'liberal hellhouse.' There are a lot of Europeans, and Americans are much more conservative than Europeans, so it may seem like a 'liberal hellhouse' to you, but I don't think that is the case.

Slow, I agree that the impact the president has on the lives of everyday Americans is overplayed, and that any presidency is more influenced by the conditions of the times than more people give credit, but I don't think you can make that argument for Bush. On some of the issues, yes, I'd agree (can't control the weather, etc.). However, the fact is the whole Iraq mess was entirely his doing, he wasn't dealt those cards, and the same would go for the national deficit.
"The first man who, having fenced off a plot of land, thought of saying, 'This is mine' and found people simple enough to believe him was the real founder of civil society. How many crimes, wars, murders, how many miseries and horrors might the human race had been spared by the one who, upon pulling up the stakes or filling in the ditch, had shouted to his fellow men: 'Beware of listening to this imposter; you are lost if you forget the fruits of the earth belong to all and that the earth belongs to no one." - Jean-Jacques Rousseau

      I agree,
at the beginning of the war there were lots of posters on Apolyton supporting him (and the war).

But this has changed considerably, especially as the promised WMDs in Iraq were nowhere to be found, even after a year of thorough search.

Asking if there are still Bush supporters on poly is the same as asking if there are still crackheads in American society.

By the way, I agree with Ted that Mossad had a hand in the 911 attacks. Not just our government was involved, but many others. CIA, FBI, US military intelligence, Shin Bet, certain Euro intelligence services all played some part. Ted just had set his judgement on the facts presented to him. Such as the fact there were anti-terrorist drills on 9/11 with the same exact targets and methods of attack. I could go on if desired, but as of now I do not want to threadjack.

Oh, check out the Pilot episode of the Lone Gunmen series. Aired on 3/1/01.

Either back up your ludicrous statement with numbers, or rescind it. At this point in his presidency, Bill Clinton had twice the approval ratings of Darth Jar-Jar.

Does that mean Clinton was twice as beloved by the people as average presidents? If this is true, this is diametrically opposite of what you conservatives were saying during the Clinton administration, which was that Clinton was wildly hated by the population and that the "liberal media" was "out of touch" with the American people. So which time were you lying? Were you lying about the "liberal media" being "out of touch" regarding Clinton's popularity, or are you lying now when you claim that Bush's poll numbers are average for a president?

Honestly? I think you're lying both times, but you probably can't help yourself.
