Island records released these 1 + 1 cassettes in the 80s which gave you a whole album on one side and a blank side on the other. It was great for long car or train journeys, and I can remember having Grace Jones one side and a compilation of funky vibes on the other with a live version of Gil Scott Heron's 'The Bottle' from 'It's Your World', Rose Royce, George Clinton, James Brown, the Isley Brothers and the Temptations, Nina Simone, Aaron Neville, Redbone, the Gap Band....
Makes me very sad to look at the charts now, and hear the dreck that people listen to and buy.
