I don't see anywhere in the story where I was asked for advice, so some of you need to get off the Bash SlowwHand bandwagon.
What the article seems to suggest is that Hussein is seemingly cognicient of the fact that in all probability, he's toast.

While I'm opposed to the death penalty in general, I'm willing to make certain, limited, exceptions. He's one of those exceptions. Hanging isn't a particularly nice way to go, even if it's done right, so that it breaks your neck instantly. You're still alive for a time, and possibly conscious. Shooting on the other hand is nice and quick.
I say hang him.
Before he goes, sodomize Sadaam on Pay per View. I don't care that much how he goes. I just wish it were technically possible to videotape his attempt to explain his actions when he meets his maker.

Seriously, though - Saddam's death toll is probably still at least twice as high as Bush's, and a larger proportion of Bush's are due to negligence (appoint incompetent crony to FEMA; watch people die when they didn't have to) rather than outright malice (bombing apartment buildings).Comment
