Sigh... Lord knows I've tried. But I will keep trying since I think there is a good reason to do so. I think they fear that if they do, they will eventually have to create a History Forum, A Music Forum, a Politics Forum...

We could maybe have one thread for each pool. But I don't think that'd suit most people. As you say... "difficult with multiple conversations spanning multiple threads."

For the record, my own situation is not typical of most posters, because:
a) I have very limited time on teh webs, and cafes are really expensive here.
b) I'm an anally-retentive Virgo who can't stand dropping into a conversation half-way without knowing the whole history of the thing since Day One.

For me personally, I'd like to see a dedicated thread for major tournaments rather than making it part of an long, ongoing discussion. But it's no biggie.

As long as I get a chance to try out my 'human interest' thread next time, I'm happy.
