The above would work well. Frankly, Maxtor, Seagate, WD are all roughly similar in quality nowadays. WD is my preferred brand, but i'd take any of the three.
I'd strongly recommend cooling your HDD with a HDD fan ... HDDs with fans outlive nonfanned ones by like 40% iirc
