the third looks too much like "America Marines," with all the red, white and blue. i like the red and white of the second one, but it reminds me of the white scars.
i'd change the white to bleached bone, and do the eyes green. that should make a nice looking model. i've got some good red tutorials if you're intrested.I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.

3rd looks best imo, white doesnt do it for me either.
I remember when i used to have the patience to paint models, never really got the chance to game with them much though. Things started going downhill when by the time i'd opened the first pot and the thoughts of "bored now, need instant gratification" started popping into my head
In hindsight i think i'd have maybe kept my interest more if i did the original warhammer, massed knights, archers etc look more appealing then scattered pockets hiding in same old cratersLearn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.

I actually haven't really played Warhammer in years, because the person who always organized and motivated us (my brother) now lives in Massachussets. Nowadays I mostly just enjoy showing of my particular brand of geekiness.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

Something about the solid blue helmet on the mostly red armor just doesn't look cool.

Technically, the Space Marines are the good guys. Or at least, they're not as bad as the bad guys.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.
