I'm not really up on this. (Obviously) So this judge in LA...and who would have guessed LA, did what Zkrib? How did what he did make suburban kids in NJ take busses into Newark to be easy meat for the gangbangers in the name of equality? Seems to be out of his jurisdiction...

Leaving the Vietnam war was the worst thing ever done. Many many many people were murdered in South Vietnam after the USA stopped to protect them.
It's the '60s that ended the golden age of the western world because it introduced demogagy and the voice of the people = the voice of the fools.
Not to mention that it turned our civilization into decadence.

He made the ruling for L.A. schools.
Other judges across the nation followed his lead.

Some were undoubtedly killed, but compared to the take overs by Lenin, Mao, Castro and Pol Pot, it was relatively bloodless. Most "running dogs" were sent off the "re-ducation camps." Far more Vietnamese lost their lives to pirates who attacked and plundered small boats of refugees.

I hate it when people in a democracy have their voices heard.

This is true. There was an overreaction to the racism and the functional-Victorianism of the 50's and early 60's.
In this overreaction, liberty became equated with license and libido. Wrecking your brain with LSD was "mind expanding." Personal responsibility was a drag. Property was theft-- which grated license to take other people's property. Sha na na na nanana, live for today meant no long term goals. "If it feels good, do it," negated the function of the human brain.
It's interesting to see the hippies of yesteryear counselling their own kids against drugs and promescuity.
