Thanks Asher. I'm leaning towards the extended warranty... simply because the console is so new (I hardly ever get consoles within the first year they are out).

I've played it. The footballing model is nowhere near as good as Konami's, although this version is better than previous ones, which were atrocious IMHO. It's too much of an arcade game and does not reward good tactical play and insightful passing in the way that WE9 does.

Wait until Winning Eleven 10 comes out for the 360: it will be the must have footy game for the console.

PGR3 is pretty fun for a car game. COD2 is OK. Battlefield 2 would be good if not for GRAW, which is better.

Fight Night 3 is awesome, although the online play sucks due to button mashers (they should have got rid of that and gone with the new punch control system alone). Being able to play as Sugar Ray Robinson is worth the price by itself, although Hagler comes a close second.

Mine didn't overheat, it had faultly memory from Infineon (damn Euros).

The one we have hasnt over heated and my son plays it non stop. The best part he likes is the wireless internet gaming on it. I have just however shelled out almost a hundred dollars in the past week cause he needed the controller charger and then on point cards which allow you to do god knows what and then on the video audio wires that from what i see was the only thing that has crapped out. If the warranty covers all of the accessories you have bought i dont see why not buy it, if not ur pretty much screwed if they fail. It is covered by manufacutres for a year isnt it? And my experience with circuit city is they dont replace your stuff if it breaks they take it for however long they need and fix it at a certain price out of ur pocket.

You say this like it is an entirely bad thing.

WE doesn't have a WC model like FIFA's World Cup game does. It's a very unique game in that it does have 190+ national teams and if I'm feeling up for it, I can take Pakistan to the World Cup, and it'll have their proper uniforms and names of the players.

I didn't buy FIFA 06 (or 07 which should be coming out shortly) after all. I bought World Cup 2006.

I'll be interested to see how Prey runs on the system. The demo is out for it. Bioshock should push the hardware a little further than the first tier of games.

Though it may be a year or so before we see the games that can really show off the system.
