Boring cheats my ass! The Italians were simply better than anyone else. The werent violent like Zidane, nor there were sloppy like the English. The 7min goal by Zidane was just a fortunate freekick wich only showed how the French couldnt make even one goal without help from above. The Italians on the other hand were awesome souverignly controlling most of the game.

I think Zizou snapped when he realized that France just wasn't going to get the goal they so richly deserved after dominating the entire second half and extra time. Boring Italian football somehow carried the day once more against a better and more exciting team. Would make me want to head butt some greasy Italian too...

I have to say (again) that I really dislike when the team with the ball will stop playing or are stopped by the ref when a player from the other team 'goes down'. It lends itself to cheating.

Yes, I agree, it had to be something which was really insulting.

Of course still no reason to loose temper this way.
Had Zidane spared even a little bit of his brain capacity to think about it before he acted, he should have come to the conclusion that leading his team to victory is much more important than the insults by an italian

Why? From what I saw, both teams would go to the sideline and get some water and take a breather. I never saw the ref stop play when the other team has the advantage, unless the injury created the advantage.

I missed that LoA said that. Its along the lines of what I was thinking.

As for the Italian 'victory'. Obviously they're a good team (but that's no surprise). What I will remember about the winners is bad fouls and cheating (diving) vs the USA, cheating (diving) vs Australia, and provoking Zidane to do something crazy in what may be his last game.
