I still lead at 301 wpm!

    I didn't f-ing cheat! I just was on a roll.

(how can you even cheat on something like this? Copy and paste? then it would be a lot faster than 301 wpm)

Ah, that is why you only copy and pasted two thirds of it and then typed the rest to completion.

            Sad, really sad.

              50 wpm, 226 cpm.

I look at my keyboard when I type, so it takes a bit of time for me to read what's on screen. I guess I type faster when I already know what I want to write.

Underlining too, is old school and should not be done.

Surprised UR didn't comment on it.

You could edit the screenshots in MS paint, as you appear to have done because the area around the numbers appears pixellated and retouched.

As of 2005, Barbara Blackburn is the fastest typist in the world, according to The Guinness Book of World Records. Using the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard, she has maintained 150 word/min for 50 min, 170 word/min for shorter periods of time, and has been clocked at a peak speed of 212 word/min. Blackburn, who failed her typing class in high school, first encountered the Dvorak keyboard in 1938, quickly learned to achieve very high speeds, and occasionally toured giving speed-typing demonstrations during her secretarial career. She appeared on The David Letterman Show and was deeply offended by Letterman's comedic treatment of her skill
Claiming 88 wpm above the Guinness record is a little over the top.

I DID NOT CHEAT! How is the screenshot edited? I just took it then pasted it into MS Paint, cut out the irrelevant screen stuff and saved it as a .jpg! I DID NOT CHEAT!

how the hell is it possibly re-touched?! All my other screenshots look exactly like the 301 one!

I think that's just a result of jpg compression. If you look at the other pictures they all look just like that.

it might have just been a bug in their system because I haven't been able to beat my second best score of 150, let alone approach 300 again. At the time, it didn't seem like I had typed that fast but i type very quickly regardless so i didnt know. but the point is that I didn't cheat.

That would be so stupid to cheat on something as unimportant as this...

I think 300wpm is believable for an easy, well-practiced half-paragraph burst. Blackburn's records are probably on material that is brand new to her.
