                It could be that with D he means C2.
                With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

                        Different 'colors' of light (they are really frequencies, or energies) travel different speeds in mediums.. not in the vacuum.

                                Light isn't really sped up (in the examples I remember right now), rather it is the group velocity of 'packets' of light which is faster than light.
