And what, pray tell, have the Democrats done as a party which has backfired? Being the minority they don't control anything and that's how it has always been. Remember when the Republicans were a minority? All they did was say "No, no, no" to everything the Democrats wanted to do because that is virtually all the minority party can do in the US.

Let's face the facts Drake. The scope is in the millions and millions of phone calls per day and you have nothing to go on other then cheap insults and wishful thinking.

I'm not complaining about the scope. I'm complaining about the ridiculous idea that the US authorities could tap millions of international phone calls. The program talked about in your links is a data-mining program that uses an automated system to find a much smaller number of leads that humans then follow up. To say that "millions of international calls are routinely tapped" is misleading.

Then again, I shouldn't have snapped at you for using terms that have been popularized by the media, no matter how misleading I think they may be. And comparing anyone to Ted is simply out of line. I apologize.
